Torque and Locking AgentShift Fork/Gear Groove Wear Inspection
Measure the thickness of the shift fork ears [A], and measure
the width [B] of the gear grooves.
If the thickness of a shift fork ear is less than the service
limit, the shift fork must be replaced.

Fuel Tank and Cap Inspection
Visually inspect the gasket [A] on the tank cap for any
damage.
Replace the gasket if it is damaged.
Check to see if the water drain pipe [B] and fuel breather
pipe [C] in the tank are not clogged. Check the tank cap
breather also.
If they are clogged, remove the tank and drain it ...
Bolts, Nuts and Fasteners Tightness Inspection
Check the tightness of the bolts and nuts listed here. Also,
check to see that each cotter pin is in place and in good
condition.
NOTE
For the engine fasteners, check the tightness of them
when the engine is cold (at room temperature).
