As the tire tread wears down, the tire becomes more susceptible
to puncture and failure. An accepted estimate is
that 90% of all tire failures occur during the last 10% of tread

shown in the table have continuity.

Valve Seat Inspection
Remove the valve (see Valve Removal).
Check the valve seating surface [A] between the valve [B]
and valve seat [C].
Measure the outside diameter [D] of the seating pattern
on the valve seat.
