Kawasaki Ninja Service Manual / Suspension / Tie-Rod, Rocker Arm / Tie-Rod Removal

Squeeze the brake lever slowly and hold it with a band [A].

Tie-Rod Removal

Remove the front footpeg bracket bolts [A].

Tie-Rod Removal

Raise the rear wheel off the ground with the jack (see Rear Shock Absorber Removal).

Special Tools - Jack: 57001-1238 Jack Attachment: 57001-1608
Remove: Upper Tie-Rod Bolt and Nut [A] Lower Tie-Rod Bolt and Nut [B] Tie-Rod

Tie-Rod Removal

Tie-Rod Installation

Replace the tie-rod nuts with new ones.
Apply grease to the inside of the grease seals.
Install the tie-rod.
Tighten: Torque - Tie-Rod Nuts: 34 N·m (3.5 kgf·m, 25 ft·lb)
