Turn the ignition switch to OFF.
Disconnect the subthrottle sensor connector.
Connect a digital meter [A] to the subthrottle sensor connector
[B].
Measure the subthrottle sensor resistance.

Oxygen Sensor Installation (Equipped Models)
NOTICE
Never drop the oxygen sensor [A] especially on a
hard surface. Such a shock to the unit can damage
it. Do not touch the sensing part [B] to prevent oil
contact. Oil contamination from hands can reduce
sensor performance.

Drive Chain Slack Inspection
NOTE
Check the slack with the motorcycle setting on its sidestand.
Clean the chain if it is dirty, and lubricate it if it appears
dry.
