The motorcycle is equipped with a side stand.

A. Side Stand
NOTE
When using the side stand, turn the handlebar to the left.
Do not sit on the motorcycle while it is on its side stand or centre stand.
Always kick the stand fully up before sitting on the motorcycle.
NOTE
The motorcycle is equipped with a side stand switch. This switch is designed so that the engine does not start if the transmission is in gear and the side stand is down.

Remove the battery (see Battery Removal).
Take the turn signal relay [A] off the rear fender.
Disconnect the connector [B].
Connect one 12 V battery and turn signal lights as indicated
in the figure, and count how many times the lights
blink for one minute.

Air Suction Valve Inspection
Remove the air suction valve (see Air Suction Valve Removal).
Visually inspect the reeds [A] for cracks, folds, warps,
heat damage or other damage.
If there is any doubt as to the condition of the reeds, replace
the air suction valve as an assembly.

Wheel Alignment Inspection
Check that the notch [A] on the alignment indicator [B]
aligns with the same swingarm mark or position [C] that
the other side alignment indicator notch aligns with.
If they do not, adjust the chain slack and align the wheel
